Tallulah Gorge

Mon Nov 23, 2009, 10:56 AM
I went to Tallulah Gorge Sunday during the "whitewater release". Instead of the Tallulah Lake Dam releasing 40 CFS of water, it was releasing 700 CFS for the rafters and kayakers. Very epic.

I am from Habersham County, Georgia. I am a senior at high school and wreslte varsity. I play a lot of computer games and like to hike, ski, kayak and swim. I am also a pencil artist and a decent photographer if I have something awesome to take a picture of. I like no sport more than skiing, I have been skiing since I was two years old.

I have a mixed heritage of English, Polish, Dutch and Native American, 1/4 of each in fact. I can or will understand just about any European language you throw at me, unless it's a dead language (like Cherokee or Creole, which are American anyway), I like translating and learning new languages. I want to master Spanish, Russian, German, Welsh, Polish, Icelandic, and Cherokee (that last one might not happen, I don't know anyone who speaks it).

I have been thinking about going to North Georgia College and State University, and persuing a career in the military. I might become a linguist in the military, I am going to be an officer no matter what.

I really enjoy having comments and feedback about my artwork, and if you ask, I'd be glad to see your artwork and comment about it.

Class of 2010

No problemo dude. If you really want to be a linguist, the military and/or intelligence is the only way to go, realistically, if you want a job, that is. Unfortunate...but reality :/ Unless you mean linguist in the sense of "polyglot"...in which case there are some private sector jobs but they aren't generally well paying :O

I would not have guessed from looking at your pictures that they are Georgia! I had no idea that Georgia sees such autumnal beauty :P

ya, military for me. probably russian. i would hate to learn chinese or arabic. you gotta learn the languages of your enemies though, so spanish is entirely useless.

Wassail :) Fotografiji lepotici ^^ Swa, þæt blæc-folce gelufiast?

Does Thy taste in language lie solely in the Indo-European family (other than Cherokee :P)? My interests outside it are admittedly novelty-based, generally...for sure ez naiz euskarazko hehe.

Luck to you og heil, min sjelebroder!

Maltewsm!

P.S. Ftr my top favourites are Norwegian and Polish.
